About the Garn
The Garn is an old "Crofters" farmhouse which dates back in parts to the late 17th Century. It is situated in beautiful Herefordshire countryside in an elevated position on the south facing side of an open valley which looks onto the ridge of Offa's Dyke, with Hay Bluff at one end and Pandy at the other.

Accommodation
The Garn has been completely renovated to provide 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 reception rooms, a kitchen and utility room. It is centrally heated and facilities include an oil fired Aga, a dishwasher, washing machine, freezer and two wood burning stoves. Features include a large stone fireplace and baker's oven, and a "Welsh screen" which is a wall made up of overlapping oak boards.

The Area
The house is set in 47 acres including a wood providing lovely walks. The neighbouring barn has been renovated and provides an ideal dry play area for children. Just over the Dyke are the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacon National Parks which provide ideal walking and climbing country. In addition there are plenty of other pursuits such as fishing, pony trekking and hang gliding. There are many castles locally including Raglan and Goodrich.
There are excellent shopping centres at both Abergavenny and Hereford, with local shops and a doctor’s surgery at Ewyas Harold. There are many good pubs and restaurants in the area, the most local ones being at Walterstone (11/2 miles) and Longtown (11/2 miles). The world famous Walnut Tree Inn is only seven miles away.
